Do you have some limited experience in the Humanitarian Sector and would like to grow your formal knowledge and gain field experience?
 
Save the Children is glad to invite applications for the Humanitarian Trainee Scheme.
 
About the Scheme: One year entry level programme targeting individuals with little experience in the humanitarian sector.

The course covers: A one week Emergency Foundation Course, 3-4 months distance learning covering the various sectors in the humanitarian work, A 2-weeks ‘Advanced Field Training’ that also covers First Aid and Security Training, 6 months each of Capital Office and Field Location Placement with a humanitarian agency, Coaching and Mentoring among other aspects.

Requirements:
  • A first degree in humanitarian field from a recognized university
  • At least 6 months experience either in employment/volunteer or internship in humanitarian work.
  • A citizen of Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia or SomaliaFee for the entire course is Kshs.474,000/- (four hundred and seventy four thousand Kenya shillings) or equivalent in USD and GBP.
Closing date for receiving applications is Sunday 8th September 2013.
