Masters of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS)
 
Minimum admission requirements:
 
1. Bachelors degree at upper second class honours or equivalent in any related discipline from the university of Nairobi or other institute recognized by the UoN senate.
 
2. Bachelors degree at a lower second class honours or equivalent from the university of Nairobi or other institutions recognized by the UoN senate, with atleast two years relevant post qualification working experience.
 

3. Pass degree or equivalent in any related discipline from the university of Nairobi or other institute recognized by the UoN senate, with at least five years of relevant post qualification working experience.
 
Application Procedure: 

Application forms can be obtained from the University of Nairobi Board of Post Graduate Studies Office at the Main Campus of the University, upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of Kshs 3,000. (Note: Non=Kenyans pay 25% more on all charges). 

The application fee may be paid by Direct Deposit into the UNES/UON Account, Barclays Bank, Westlands Branch, A/C No. 03-073-1023948.

CASH AND POSTAL ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The completed forms with copies of certificates and application fees deposit slips must be returned by 16th August 2013 to Dean’s office, Faculty of Arts, Room GW302 (Gandhi Wing).
 
Mode of study: Part time (Weekdays 5.30pm — 8.30pm.; Saturdays 9am — 6pm)
